Have an idea that doesn't really fit anywhere else?  You can create a new page for it or post it here! 

 

After logging in, all you need to do is click the "edit page" button and you'll get a screen that looks a lot like a word processing program and allows you to easily add your text (or copy and paste it from another document). Add your ideas to our list, being sure to include:  lesson title, recommended grade level, a description of the activity and any necessary resources.  If you'd like to leave your name and email, people can contact you if they have questions, but listing your contact information is optional.  Thanks for sharing!

Simple Curriculum Map

Library Administration

 

A few years ago, I sat down and created specific program goals for my library media program and created a simple curriculum map that showed how the goals were addressed at each grade level.  I posted this information on my library web site at http://www.usd376.com/media/gslib/programs.htm#mission and have been very pleased at how well it sums up our program and how simply it communicates to teachers, administration, staff, parents, students, and our community.  Now that it's created, I can simply update it each year as the program evolves according to specific needs.  It was a bit time-consuming, but I believe it was well worth the effort.
